My husband is 56 years old and has been experiencing discomfort in his Achilles tendon for several years, which has recently worsened after a lot of walking. He is using pull-on braces for support. Is there anything else we can do besides surgery to alleviate his discomfort, considering the long recovery time and his need to work?

I have mild mitral regurgitation due to a very mild MVP. My heart is healthy, and the valves are thin and healthy. Does exercise make the mild regurgitation worse? I do light cardio like walking, jogging, teach spinning once a week, and lift light weights with body movements like lunges or squats. I've read online that exercise can make it leak worse, but my cardiologist said I shouldn't worry.
