Dr. - my doctor is suggesting that I do the burning of the nerve ablation procedure for my lower back pain. Is there anything risky or dangerous about this procedure? How do they exactly burn the nerve? Will this have any sexual side effects like the potential for impotence? Do you think it will help with the pain as well as sciatica? Please tell me anything you can about this procedure.

My vision up close is fine one week and then blurry the next week. I had my eyes checked two months ago, and the eye doctor said I need reading glasses and that my eyes are healthy. I don't understand why it goes back and forth. I sometimes have headaches and wear contacts that are a week old.

My husband is 51 years old and his PSA level has fluctuated from 6.7 to 7. He takes Zoloft, Synthroid, and vitamins for his prostate, and has no pain or other symptoms. His first PSA test was 6.7, then it went to 8.9, and after a kidney stone attack and antibiotics, it went down to 6. Yesterday's PSA was 7. His free PSA is within the normal range. What could be causing the fluctuation in PSA levels, and should we be concerned about prostate cancer? Would an MRI be sufficient to determine the cause, or should we consider a biopsy?

I received treatment for a UTI in August with Cipro, followed by symptoms of a yeast infection and another UTI. I was treated again for both conditions, but now I have heavy white discharge and black/gray wet flakes after urinating. I also have a slight itch and pain, and an ovarian cyst. What could be causing these symptoms and should I be concerned about the ovarian cyst?
