My IgG4 levels are elevated. CT, MRI, MRCP, LFT, RFT, and lipase tests are normal. My gallbladder was removed due to sludge. I'm confused about whether to start steroids or avoid them due to potential side effects. Which option should I adopt, and how long should I use steroids if I start them? What are the possible risks and safety measures for short-term and long-term steroid use? If the levels do not normalize after 10 days, can we extend the usage duration? If levels normalize but bounce back later, can we repeat the 10-day course?

My girlfriend is on birth control pills and has a normal 28-day cycle. She had sex on May 28th, and her period was delayed until June 7th, when she had light bleeding for two days. She took two negative pregnancy tests on June 15th, and then started her period normally the next day. She has also been experiencing nausea and vomiting. Given her normal period with clots, could she still be pregnant?

I jump awake at night due to heart palpitations. I do not drink or take any form of drugs. I never experienced this before until I came off of birth control pills. What could be causing these palpitations and what can I do about it?
