My mom has been experiencing severe inflammation, swelling in her feet, ankles, and legs, skin peeling, and shortness of breath for over four months. She is reluctant to go to the ER due to a previous traumatic experience with her mother's hospital visit. She is currently taking Tamaflex from GNC, which is not helping. What options do I have for her, and is there any medication she can take at home instead of Tamaflex?

I have a dry cough that occurs whenever I speak and has been present for a long time. It was diagnosed as related to reflux, and I have been taking Losec for a few years, but the cough persists. I have a respiratory virus with mild symptoms, mainly lack of energy. My blood pressure, which usually averages 115/75, has elevated to 142/85 since getting the virus. I take HCTZ 12.5 mg daily. How long should I monitor my blood pressure, and will it return to normal as the virus subsides?
