My mother is 72 years old and has a history of atherosclerosis, heart attack, high blood pressure, loss of one kidney, and peripheral vascular disease. She recently developed another aortic aneurysm and was hospitalized with acute ischemic bowel disease. She was told she is not a candidate for surgery. Currently, she is at home, in constant pain, and taking pain medication four times a day. What can we expect as her health deteriorates, and what can we do to make her comfortable?

Do medications really expire? I have a sinus infection and have some antibiotics left from last year. I take thyroid meds daily and a medication for depression. I am allergic to penicillin.

I had radioactive iodine in 2010 and now have a confirmed hypothyroid condition. My GP prescribed levothyroxine, but I experienced severe side effects such as faintness, nausea, impaired memory, palpitations, and hot flushes. The initial dose was lowered from 50 mcg to 25 mcg, but I still felt ill. Is there any other form of thyroxine available that I could try?

This morning I woke up and my foot was tingling. As well, my arm is tingling, swollen, red, and warm. It goes from my hand up my arm to above the elbow. I am diabetic 1 but have never suffered nerve pain before. Does it usually just appear? Or if it’s something else, what could it be?

I had gallbladder surgery in March 2017 and haven't had a bowel movement since then. I've tried drinking water, taking Movantik, prune juice, and Miralax with no results. I take an iron pill and am on 50mg of Seroquel. My anxiety is high, and I haven't seen a doctor yet. How can I have a bowel movement to avoid a blockage?
