My nephew lives with my mother who has primary central nervous system lymphoma. My nephew has hand, foot, and mouth disease. My mother is post-radiation treatment and has ongoing chemotherapy. Can she catch hand, foot, and mouth disease from him?

I have a marked tortuous sigmoid colon, splenic flexure, and transverse colon. Is this bad? Can it be fixed? I have occasional constipation and am very depressed about this. What about complications in the future? Do you recommend surgery to fix this? Will it affect my quality of life? Why am I depressed? Taking laxatives damages the bowels? I took a laxative tea for 2 months. Could it have caused damage?

I have been experiencing frequent yeast infections for about 2 years, characterized by a cottage cheese texture and clumpy discharge, but no itching or burning. I have been taking Azo Yeast Plus Dual Relief, but the issue persists, especially after sexual intercourse. I am concerned about the cause and potential treatments for this condition.

My son has been diagnosed with cyclical vomiting syndrome (CVS). He is 17 years old, weighs 200 lbs, and is 6 ft tall. He has had three episodes of vomiting, with the last one lasting 8 days. He was prescribed Fluoxetine (10 mg) four years ago for depression/anxiety and recently had it increased to 30 mg by a GI specialist. He was also prescribed Periactin, which makes him sleepy. He has used marijuana occasionally but is not habitually. He is looking forward to going to college and is very sensitive and in tune with people and life. He had mono in January, which was initially misdiagnosed as a sinus infection, and later had a bout of diarrhea associated with salmonella. He is currently not anxious or stressed. What is the best approach to manage his CVS, considering his medical history and current medications?

My left hand became painful and swollen this afternoon. It’s still painful and hard to move. How long have you had the swelling? Have you used any medication for it? Have you seen a doctor about the swelling? Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
