I am having pain in my stomach, specifically in the upper left area. My neighbor, a GI doctor, prescribed Bentyl until I see my doctor. The pain feels sore and is accompanied by spasms. What could this be?

I am 73 years old and recently fell on my hip. My hip feels okay other than the usual arthritis, but I have a 12-inch bruise that is a severe dark purple and getting darker. Can it lead to any serious problems such as a clot? I haven't seen a doctor yet, but I take a lot of medications including regular infusions of ORENCIA for rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other immune problems. I also take daily arthritis meds, anti-anxiety meds, and hydrocodone for pain. I am a 100% disabled veteran from Vietnam and am allergic to penicillin and Remicade.

I have been on a low-carb, high-fat diet for the last five weeks and have been drinking bulletproof coffee and warm lemon water each morning for the last three weeks. I also take topical estrogen cream nightly. What could be causing these mouth sores and how can I address them?
