My sister has been diagnosed with a nontuberculosis mycobacterial lung infection and has been prescribed Zithromax 250mg daily, Ethambutol 800mg daily, and Rifampin 450mg daily for a year. She is concerned about the side effects, especially from Ethambutol. Is this treatment typical and safe?
