Roughly how long should one 50 mcg Levothyroxine pill stay in my system? I am a heart patient. I take 25 mg atenolol daily. The second day I took the Levothyroxine my blood pressure dropped to 100/65 and my pulse was racing up to 90 and higher. I was not told this is one of the side effects. I had to stop the atenolol. I had to stay off the atenolol for two days, doctor's orders. Still a week later, something is keeping my bp down around 100/65 and will not let it back up. Could it be this thyroid med takes ahold of the system for so long? If so, is there any way with food or vitamins to counteract at least the low bp problem? They say you can't just stop taking atenolol. My bp has been as low as 80 when at rest.

I cut my knee on a new bathroom handle. I washed the cut with soap and water, applied Neosporin, and it doesn't seem serious. Can I get a dangerous infection or bacteria from this, and should I be worried?

I have a friend who used to do drugs, specifically meth for 6 months. She has been clean for a year, has completed treatment, and is maintaining her sobriety. She is 25 years old. Can her past drug use, particularly meth, still affect her brain, heart, organs, etc., even though she has been clean for a year?

I had a bad bladder infection for two weeks. Two cultures came back bad. Then went to the hospital in pain and after pain meds and a full-body CAT scan (clean of any tumors, etc.) and perfect blood work at my physical, I am now very constipated and overall feeling yucky. The urologist will not see me without 3 infections in a year, which I only have 2 a year apart. Do you have any suggestions for me? I am in no pain now, just feel not fully recovered. Thank you.
