The other day I was walking through a grassy patch at night in the city. After getting back to the sidewalk I felt a little prick but I’m thinking it could’ve been the fibers from my socks or my anxiety imagining things. I’m concerned about if I could’ve stepped on a heroin needle. I had sneakers on and examined my shoes and socks to see if there was a needle and I saw nothing. I also didn’t see any blood on my feet. Do you think I should get tested for blood-transmitted illnesses such as HIV or HCV?

I have a lump near my groin area. I noticed it yesterday on my left thigh near my testicles. The lump is not itchy, but the skin around it is loose and filled with fluid. It's not hard, and when I tried to slice it open, blood squirted out. I'm 22 years old and not on any medications. What could this be, and what should I do?

I think I found new marks on my penis. I'm concerned about these lines and bumps that seem more defined or irritated than normal. I've also noticed slight tingling and random sensations. Are these symptoms of something serious, or are they all in my head?

My friend had a staph infection while in jail, received 60 days of antibiotics, but still has sores and became sick. He was eventually sent to the ER, where they found an infected right flank muscle, drained 500ml of MRSA infection, and inserted a drain. Despite being on vancomycin since June, he has been to the hospital 8 times and the infection persists. Why hasn't he been given a different antibiotic?

I am taking amoxicillin to try and get rid of my sinus problem. It is not helping with my congestion. Can I take something else to help like sinus pressure and pain relief?
