What are the signs of a damaged Vagus Nerve affecting the bowel and stomach, and could I be suffering from hypochlorhydria? My symptoms include cold chills, cold skin, trembling, heavy aching in the abdomen 2-3 hours after eating, worsening symptoms 4-5 hours after eating, dizziness, and occasional loss of muscle sensation. I have been on ulcer medication without relief and have seen a gastrointestinal specialist who suggested it might be a nerve problem. I have had negative CT scan results for inflammation and GERD. Could a nerve-related issue like gastroparesis or slow motility due to permanent nerve damage be causing these symptoms? How long does food typically take to move into the intestine area?
