I have Stage IV metastatic colon cancer which spread to the liver and lymph nodes and also have diverticulosis. Surgeries successfully removed the cancer from the colon, lymph nodes, and 2 tumors on the liver. I continue on chemotherapy, PET/CT scans, and have an ileostomy bag. I am feeling better each day. Although I am not happy with the bag, I have concerns about having the ileostomy reversed (incontinence, pain, bleeding, etc.). Since I am doing so well, should I stick with the bag and forget about the reversal?

I am a 50-year-old male with no history of diabetes. In a routine lab test, my glucose level was 67 and fructosamine was 1.59 (within the expected range of 1.20-1.79 mmol/L). Should I be concerned about low blood sugar and get an A1C test done to reconfirm, or am I good?
