I am 75 years old and considering bariatric surgery. My primary care doctor suggested I research this, as local gastroenterologists may not accept patients over 65. I take Telmisartan, Levothyroxin, and Pravastatin, and I am allergic to sulfur drugs, Vicodin, and clindamycin. I also have a slight hemophilia history, have had both hips replaced, and a C3,C4,C5 spinal fusion. I live near Wilmington, NC, and would prefer not to travel far for the surgery. What are the latest age limits for bariatric surgery, and which surgery would be least invasive and most successful for me if I pass the screenings?

My husband has been taking Bydureon since Christmas and has had lots of nausea. For the past two weeks, the nausea has made him vomit and he’s had a migraine. Now since Saturday, he’s developed a cough and has been vomiting all day. His fever reached 104°F, and he took an IBP 800. He has diabetes and high blood pressure. Should I take him to the ER if the fever comes back?

I had the flu really bad last week for the second time in a month, and now my chest hurts in the middle. I'm constantly coughing and if I walk just a little ways, I'm out of breath. I've been dealing with the cough for about 2 weeks now and it's not getting better. I also experience shortness of breath and sometimes get lightheaded from coughing so hard. I'm overweight but never had issues like this before in my life. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

I have a Pituitary Tumor that sometimes produces breast milk even though both of my children are in their teens now. I also have two nodules on my Thyroid, am always exhausted, have experienced significant weight gain, and feel like I am going crazy. Additionally, I have had multiple car accidents due to vision issues and have been in pain management for years. I am unsure where to start with my medical issues and have received conflicting advice from doctors, including one who wanted to perform surgery to remove the tumor through my nose but could not guarantee the outcome on my eyesight.

I have a white lump on the outside of my anus that hurts. I've never had a hemorrhoid before, and the only thing I can think of as to how it got there is that I just ran a 13-mile marathon. Could that have caused it to form? It's squishy, not hard.
