I got the Paraguard IUD placed back in January. I am experiencing cramps similar to early pregnancy cramps, which started a few weeks ago. I also had a bout of bleeding similar to implantation bleeding about a month ago. My last period was in October 2020, and I haven't had one since due to breastfeeding. I have been experiencing very painful, burning itches in my vulva area that seem to move around, affecting different parts such as the labia minora, exterior of the anus and perineum, and now the mons pubis since June. I have seen my primary doctor who prescribed a steroid cream for the itching and skin thickness, and an OBGYN who suggested 20-minute baths and vaseline. I have removed all creams, oils, and washes from the area, but the symptoms seem to be getting worse. What could be causing this and what treatments can help?
