I am a 39-year-old woman experiencing frequent but not constant breast pain, particularly in my left breast, which started about a year ago. The pain varies in severity and is often triggered by dairy and caffeine intake. I have noticed that it can completely go away with abstaining from these substances. Sometimes there are painful lumps that come and go. The pain is dull, comes and goes, and is frequent. I have been under significant stress due to recent life changes, including moving, divorce, starting a new career, being a mother, and starting a new business. My diet isn't the best, but there have been no recent changes in weight or medications. The pain hasn't worsened over the past year, but it remains frequent and inconsistent. What could be causing this pain, and what can I do to alleviate it?
