Is there any medication that can be given to reduce edema during my daughter's 2nd trimester of pregnancy? She has gained a lot of weight, mostly fluid weight in her legs and calves, causing discomfort and preventing her from working. She is not exercising and is taking only prenatal vitamins. She had a TIA during her 2nd pregnancy and was paralyzed on one side for a week. Should we be concerned about the excessive weight gain?
