I am experiencing cramps, nausea, acid reflux, dizziness, and a very light period that has been ongoing for a week. My periods have always been irregular, and I haven't had one in six months. I've never had pain associated with my periods before. What could be causing these symptoms, and what tests or examinations should I consider?

I am 2 days post laparoscopy / hysteroscopy / D&C / adhesiolysis. The reason for the surgery was years of heavy and irregular periods, abnormal vaginal bleeding, and abdominal pain. My GP suspected endometriosis due to family history, and I also have a diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). I have been bleeding non-stop for 8.5 weeks with no explanation. After surgery, the surgeon found no signs of endometriosis or PCOS and no other reasons for the abnormal bleeding. I have constant pain in my left groin described as a tugging/squeezing sensation. What could be causing my ongoing bleeding and pain?

I recently got prescribed Metrogel for a detected case of Gardnerella vaginalis, which causes bacterial vaginosis (BV). I have several questions: Can I use Metrogel during my period, and should I start treatment if my OB/GYN said I don't have to? Will the treatment clear it up faster, or can it go away on its own? Could using the gel cause a yeast infection, or could BV itself lead to one? Is there a way to prevent BV, and how long does it normally take to clear up? Should I refrain from being intimate, and can BV be transferred to my partner? How well does Metrogel work, and can BV come back at any time? Are there specific reasons females get BV, and is there a precautionary measure to avoid a yeast infection from the gel? Can BV turn into other infections, and if left untreated, would it just continue to cause symptoms like burning, itching, and abnormal discharge? Is it possible to have BV without symptoms, and how long can BV usually last?
