I was on birth control for 3 months to regulate my periods, but I stopped in September and haven't had a period for 8 months. I'm not pregnant. Is this dangerous, and what could be causing it?

I was supposed to get my period 17 days ago (last period was September 30) and still have not gotten it. I am 18 years old, not on birth control or any contraceptives, not taking any medications, and sexually active. The last time my partner and I had sex was October 15, and we used protection as well as him pulling out. I've been feeling pressure in my lower abdomen and I don't know if that's related. My wife didn’t go on her period for 2 months and today she started seeing some blood. We tested for pregnancy and it was positive. She is not using any contraceptives, her last period was on 14 March, and her periods normally range between 25-29 days. She hasn’t had a pap test, and she suffers from heavy and irregular periods. We have been trying to conceive for 2 years without success. What should we do?
