I’m experiencing abnormal blood clots during my period. The clot had a whitish/grayish/purplish clump in it, and I recently stopped taking birth control pills (Marlissa) on the 14th. I’ve dealt with this abnormality since I started my period over a decade ago. I’m 22 years old and not using any medications. What is abnormal about the blood clots, and what birth control were you on and when did you stop it?

I had my period about 3 weeks ago and since then, I've had an odor and occasional brown discharge. I haven't had sex around the time of my period. When did the discharge start, and has it been constant or does it come and go? How would you describe the texture of the discharge? When did your last period start and end? Does it come regularly? Are there any other details in your medical history that the doctor should know?
