I have a burning sensation while peeing and there is blood. I am not sure if it's my periods along with a UTI since my period start date is 26th. The burning started slightly 2 days ago but today it is more. I have no known allergies and no other medical conditions. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I have a left ovarian cyst and am experiencing daily brown vaginal discharge with pain. I went to the ER, where they did a CT scan but did not perform a pelvic exam or take vaginal cultures. My periods are regular, and I have no odor from the discharge. I am sexually active but do not use birth control, having had my tubes clamped with Felshie clips three years ago. Could this be related to ovulation, or is there another cause for my symptoms?
