My daughter is experiencing armpit pain that started about 2 months ago, off and on. She had an ultrasound 6 months ago that showed 3 hypoechoic masses, with a biopsy confirming fibroadenoma in one. The other two were identified as fat lobule and fat necrosis, and were not biopsied. Her mammogram showed extremely dense breasts and no abnormalities. She has a history of breast pain following an injury and early breast cancer in her family. The recent ultrasound for her armpit showed everything normal. Should we insist on an MRI for further evaluation?
