I had unprotected sex yesterday and am now experiencing heavy bleeding. I know the person and we both are clean, but I'm taking medication for a yeast infection and am scared due to the blood. I've been bleeding for 12 hours, which is longer than a previous occurrence that resolved the next day. My last pelvic exam was last week and everything was normal. I had an STI in the summer but have been clean since then. I have a condition called IBS and am not on blood thinners. There has been no bleeding from gums or in stools. The sex was lubricated but there was some pain, and I'm experiencing period-like cramps this morning. My periods are regular, every 28 to 30 days, and I'm on birth control to control my bleeding.

I’m having heavy bleeding after sex, and I’m on blood thinners. Is it normal? The bleeding has been happening for a few hours and is very heavy with a lot of clots. I’ve been on blood thinners for a few years and have never experienced bleeding like this after sex. There are no other symptoms, and I’m having to change heavy flow pads every 30 minutes or less if I cough or sneeze.

I haven't had a normal menstruation for 2 months, but I have had a bloody discharge for over a month. I am single and a virgin. Am I sick?
