Ever since the birth of my first child (8 years ago), I have had issues with bleeding between periods/excessively long periods. I have been told that I have a 'tipped' or 'prolapsed' uterus, though this isn't the cause of my bleeding. I generally start bleeding 10 days after the end of my previous period, which progresses from light spotting to heavy bleeding over time. I have had normal ultrasounds, blood tests, and negative STD tests. I have tried hormonal birth control (Loestrin) for 3 months without improvement. What could be causing this bleeding, and what are the treatment options besides hormonal birth control?

I suffer from Endometriosis and my Primary Care Physician recommends staying on birth control to manage it. I'm sexually active and have been told that Endometriosis is fueled by Estrogen and not producing it can prevent growth.
