Hello, my gynecologist mentioned a sensation of prolapse and arranged an MRI to detect a defect in the pelvic floor. She said the sensation seems to come from the left side of the pelvis rather than the front or back. Can you explain what she means and what the MRI will reveal?

I am having extremely sharp pain on my left side. I am not pregnant as I am on the Nexplanon implant and go to the Dr on 11/30 to have it replaced. I have irregular periods, weight gain, hirsutism. Could I possibly have a cyst on my ovary and therefore PCOS?

I have severe lower left pelvic pain that worsens after urinating. The pain started yesterday and is constant, radiating down my leg and into my glute area. The pain is sharp and stabbing. I'm currently taking Tylenol and I'm 42 years old. I've had two vaginal childbirths and consider myself healthy otherwise. Should I see a gynecologist or my primary care doctor?
