I have been bleeding for more than three weeks now, which I have never experienced before. My doctor suggested Tranexamic acid, but it didn't completely stop the bleeding. I was okay for one full day, but after having sex with my boyfriend, I started bleeding again. I have never had a pap test or pelvic exam, and my periods are usually late, occurring every 40 to 45 days. I also noticed swelling on my labia after the bleeding incident during sex. What could be causing this prolonged and irregular bleeding, and should I be concerned about the swelling?
