I'm having menstrual problems that I believe might be from my birth control, specifically the Nexplanon implant in my arm. My last period started on May 24th, and I have been bleeding and spotting since then. My cycles have been normal since I got the Nexplanon in December 2020, until May. I am also on spironolactone and I'm 21. What issues are you having and at what point should I be concerned if the bleeding does not stop?

I am experiencing very heavy bleeding (need double protection, changing every hour, bleeding through clothing) with large clots (size larger than a tampon) for the past 6 months, which is getting worse. I am 46 years old, not on any medications, and had my last normal period over 6 months ago. I have lower abdominal pain off and on, and my last gynecological exam was over 4 years ago with just a regular routine exam. I have not tried anything to stop the bleeding other than using tampons and pads. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I am having severe sharp throbbing pain in the urethra when urinating, a deeper pain from the vagina to the anus, and bright red tissue coming from my vagina along with blood that appears to be like a normal menstrual cycle. I also have stomach cramps similar to those experienced during menstruation. I tested positive for a UTI using an at-home kit. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?
