I'm trying to adhere to the Wiley protocol, but I'm unsure when day 1 of my cycle is. I experience light spotting about 2 days before my major flow begins and brown spotting 2 days before that. What is the actual day 1 of my cycle? Is it the first day of 'red' blood, no matter how light, or is it the first day of a full flow? I want to ensure I'm starting the Wiley protocol correctly because it's sensitive, and missing a dose can disrupt my cycle.

I started taking Microgestin 1/20Fe birth control pills in February. I had unprotected sex on June 2nd, and took three Microgestin pills on the same day as a precaution, followed by an emergency contraceptive pill (Aftera) on June 3rd. I am supposed to get my period on the 12th. Am I safe from pregnancy, and did I make the right choice by taking three Microgestin pills in one day?

I have fertility issues and have never gotten pregnant naturally until now. I took an Early Response pregnancy test and saw faint lines, with a slightly darker line today. My local OB's blood work showed a beta HCG of 14.07 and progesterone of 4. My local OB wants me to start progesterone, but my RE's office wants me to wait and retest next week. I'm concerned about the potential for a chemical pregnancy and whether starting progesterone now could help. Should I start progesterone immediately, or wait and risk a very early miscarriage?
