I have PCOS and have been on metformin, but recently I've been under stress, missed some doses of metformin, and was diagnosed with a bladder infection. I was prescribed Keflex, which I took for a week before stopping. Since then, I've been spotting intermittently and experiencing lower abdominal discomfort. Tonight, I passed a large blood clot and started bleeding heavily like a regular period, which is unusual for me. Could the antibiotics, being off and on with metformin, or the stress trigger this reaction? I've restarted metformin for two weeks now.

My friend has severe abdominal pain that comes and goes, described as sharp, and she vomited once. She has swelling in her ovaries, about 6 inches, but the doctors are not providing any reports or adequate care. What should we do?

I've been experiencing sharp pain in my groin, specifically on the outer part of my vagina. The pain comes and goes and has been on and off for more than a few days. There's no burning or itching, just sharp pain. I don't remember when it started, but it got worse last night. I haven't experienced any numbness, muscle weakness, or increased fatigue, and I don't have any other medical conditions or allergies. My last period was last week, and I haven't had sex recently. I've never had a Pap smear or STD testing. What could be causing this pain, and what should I do?

I have blood clots in my urine and brown discharge, along with abdominal pain that comes and goes. I've also experienced nausea and bloating. My periods are irregular due to PCOS, and I missed my last period. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

I had just gotten my period last week but I seem to be bleeding again and I don’t totally understand why. I was on birth control but I’ve been off of it for a little. It started spotting this morning but it doesn’t seem too bad. I am 18 and not using any medications. Is there anything else in my medical history you think the Doctor should know?
