I have a histology report of my placenta from a 37-week C-section delivery. The report mentions non-reassuring heart tones, arrest of labor, and a small placenta for gestational age. Additionally, I am experiencing sudden issues with breastmilk availability and have PCOS with insulin resistance. Is it safe and beneficial to take metformin while breastfeeding?

I have pain in my uterus/bladder/vagina when I pee. The pain started last night and only occurs when peeing. It is achey, stabbing, and sharp. I am taking iron supplements, multivitamins, and Evra birth control patch. I am 19 years old, very iron deficient, just recovered from a yeast infection, and my period is due next week. I am sexually active with one partner in the last 3-4 months and recently tested negative for STDs.

I think I have a UTI, with symptoms including foul-smelling urine, burning sensation on the outside of my vaginal area, frequent urination, nausea, dizziness, and a feeling of malaise. I have a history of chronic UTI and nephritis. Is this related, and what can I do in the meantime before my appointment?
