I had a transvaginal ultrasound exactly 1 week ago to determine the due date and was told everything looked great. When I began to bleed yesterday, I called the MD and was told that as long as the blood was not bright red and I was not cramping, I should not worry. Today, I had some mild cramping followed by several large blood clots, along with tissue, and what looks like afterbirth. I have an appointment tomorrow with my MD, and since this is my first miscarriage, I was wondering what will be done during that appointment? The nurse I spoke to at my MD office did not provide me with much information.

I've been experiencing irregular bleeding for the past 10 days, with periods that last for half a day to 2 days, stop for a day, then start again. This is the first time I've had this issue. My last period started on December 21st, and I generally get my periods every 5 weeks. I had a steroid injection 2 weeks ago for carpal tunnel syndrome but no relief. I have Nexplanon and wasn't bleeding at all for a year, but then started getting irregular bleeding for about a week at a time, which has progressed to bleeding for 2 months straight in April and now for 3 weeks. How long have you dealt with the bleeding? Have you experienced this in the past? When was your last pap test or pelvic exam? Any irregular results from past exams? Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
