I just had a miscarriage and my HCG level was 8 instead of in the thousands. I was about 5 weeks along, and the bleeding started on Friday/Saturday. How long should I wait to start conceiving again, and are there any precautions or tests needed to prevent another miscarriage?

I recently noticed brown spotting a week after my period ended, along with a lack of normal vaginal discharge, which is unusual for me. When I checked, I found clumpy white discharge (similar to dried tissue or cottage cheese) and some brown discharge. I have a Mirena IUD that was inserted in July 2021. I began bleeding during intercourse and am concerned that it may have shifted. I also have some inconsistent lower abdominal discomfort and haven't had a period since getting the IUD. The blood was much brighter than what I would normally get from my periods. I used to feel the IUD strings but haven't been able to in a while. What could be causing this and what should I do?
