I was in treatment for a uterus infection with metronidazole and doxycycline. Today, I woke up with itchy and inflamed vaginal symptoms. The itchiness is constant, and my skin looks normal. I have no known allergies and no significant medical history. I am 25 years old, had no discharge, finished the medications, and was not treated for a suspected STD. The infection was diagnosed as pelvic inflammatory disease.

I’ve been tested for all STIs and BV and it all came back normal, but my vagina smells different. I had BV once 3 or 4 years ago and have had no problems since, but have noticed the smell for around a month. I’ve been using Canestan BV treat and prevent formulas. I am 22 and have a Kyleena IUD. What could be causing the smell, and what can I do about it?

I am experiencing discomfort, itching, and burning in my vagina, which has been getting worse since Wednesday. I am 28 years old, on birth control, and have a steady partner with whom I have unprotected sex. I initially thought it was a yeast infection and took Monistat 3-day treatment, but it did not improve. I visited a gynecologist who diagnosed me with BV and prescribed medication, but I am still experiencing pain and burning. I also tested positive for Streptococcus beta hemolytic group B in my urine and have sores on my vagina. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?
