I had a yeast infection a couple of weeks ago and treated it with clotrimazole, which initially cleared the infection but not the irritation. The irritation has persisted and the yeast infection has returned. Should I try boric acid, and if the problem continues, what other treatments are available?

Is it possible to get a yeast infection more than once, and how can I take care of it? I just started using a contraceptive patch, which might be a contributing factor. I have experienced symptoms such as white cottage cheese-like discharge, itching, and soreness for a few days. I don't have any swelling, foul odor, or pain during urination or sex. I haven't taken any antibiotics recently.
