My husband's semen analysis shows a concentration of 17 x 10^6/ml, total motile count of 22 x 10^6, normal morphology of 13%, and leukocytes of 2 x 10^6/ml. He is a 53-year-old male in good health, and we have been trying to conceive for several months without success. My gynecologist believes his high WBC may affect sperm quality and has prescribed 500mg of Cipro for 10 days. We are concerned about the timing of trying to conceive, the risk of abnormal sperm fertilizing my egg, and whether his current semen analysis levels are sufficient for conception. What should we do given our circumstances and the short window we have to conceive naturally?
