My period is suddenly irregular, and I've been on combination birth control (Sprintec) for a year now. My last period started July 17 and ended August 13, and it was on and off. My period just started again today, 17 days after my last one. I haven't experienced any recent changes in stress or weight. What could be causing this irregularity, and what should I do?

After taking the morning-after pill earlier this month, I started having my period. Then in the second week, I had it again, and now I'm still bleeding for three weeks. Is this cause for concern? I had a negative pregnancy test, no swelling, discoloration, or unusual smells, and had polyps removed in the past. Are you using any contraceptives?

I missed pills and took them late this month on birth control. I stopped taking it this week, even though I had 4 more pills left. The spotting stopped when I went off it. When should I start my new pack to avoid the spotting starting again?

Our 18-year-old daughter thought 'catching up' on her birth control meant taking the last 4 days' pills at once. She is on Loestrin FE. How long has your daughter used Loestrin? When did her last period begin? When was her last pap test, and what were the results? Any swelling, discoloration, or unusual smells? Anything else in her medical history you think the Doctor should know?

I have a brownish discharge after intercourse. I haven't had this before. I am postmenopausal based on FSH results, and I have had unprotected sex since then. Should I be concerned about this? Is this normal with menopause? I'm scared of pregnancy, but the doctor assured me that I am fine. I am freaking out now! Please advise.
