What would you recommend for a recurring yeast infection that has persisted for about 6 months, despite trying over-the-counter treatments like Monistat and Walgreens' equivalent, as well as a prescribed pill? I am 22 years old, on oral birth control, sexually active with one partner without the use of condoms, and have not had a recent Pap test or pelvic exam.

What could be causing this, and is the bleeding good when trying to conceive?
