I work at a preschool and made $9600 last year. The payroll person only took out $64 in Federal Taxes, saying I put down married with 2 deductions. I meant to put down 2 total exemptions. Does this sound correct? My State Taxes were about $261. I live in Oregon and put down married on my W4 with 2 allowances for my husband and me. Would I owe about $900 for Federal taxes?
