I am married and own separate homes. My husband sold his house in Dec 2020 and is buying another in Florida. I plan to sell my primary residence this year and move to Florida. Can both of us use the capital gain exemption for separate homes while being married? Can I use the capital gain exemption if my home is a two-family house with one unit rented and one used as my primary residence, and part of it is used for business? How can I avoid prepaying the exit tax when moving to Florida?

If you are found eligible for the EIDL loan and are self-employed, can you use the loan funds to pay yourself? The funds are explained vaguely as to be used as “working capital” but that includes payroll. How does this work in the case of being self-employed?
