Regarding 1099-MISC tax filings, we have several issues: 1) We filed $7,500 in rents in a 2016 1099-MISC form for an individual, but $1,000 was actually for 2015. My husband passed away in 2004. I filed our 2004 taxes as married filing jointly with him as deceased. For 2005, I have income from a CD and a small amount of income he was still owed from his employer on his social security number. We also had a brokerage account I forgot to close or change to my name only, which I didn't do until April 2005. I know I probably will have to file a 1041 on his income alone. But the brokerage account was also under his social security number too. I'm unsure what to do with this income from the brokerage account. Can somebody help me?

I received a notice of levy against my wages and need this resolved quickly. I have IRS taxes due from 2005 ($16,138.40) and 2006 ($43,193.13). I need the levy removed and a repayment plan set up.

I am trying to get proof that I do not owe any back taxes to the IRS. I'm buying a home and can't get financing due to a name using my tax ID. The IRS has my name listed at a specific address, and the loan company says I owe taxes for several years, but I am exempt from paying taxes. How can I clear this up as soon as possible since I'm due to close on my property on May 8, 2017?

We owe $17,000 in taxes. My husband is an invalid with dementia, and I had to manage our finances without prior knowledge. I'm 78, he's 90, and we spend $4,000/month on in-home care. The IRS recently informed me that due to a math error by our tax services, we now owe an additional $3,950. What assistance can I receive?
