I received a notice of levy against my wages and need this resolved quickly. I have IRS taxes due from 2005 ($16,138.40) and 2006 ($43,193.13). I need the levy removed and a repayment plan set up.

I am trying to get proof that I do not owe any back taxes to the IRS. I'm buying a home and can't get financing due to a name using my tax ID. The IRS has my name listed at a specific address, and the loan company says I owe taxes for several years, but I am exempt from paying taxes. How can I clear this up as soon as possible since I'm due to close on my property on May 8, 2017?

We owe $17,000 in taxes. My husband is an invalid with dementia, and I had to manage our finances without prior knowledge. I'm 78, he's 90, and we spend $4,000/month on in-home care. The IRS recently informed me that due to a math error by our tax services, we now owe an additional $3,950. What assistance can I receive?

How can a family share a car for both personal and business use, and accurately deduct the business-related expenses for tax purposes, especially when multiple family members use the car for different business purposes, such as a husband using it for work errands and a wife using it for food delivery? Additionally, how should a child who uses the family car for business purposes, such as pizza delivery, handle the deduction of expenses if they intend to reimburse the family for the business use of the car at the end of the year?

I just received an IRS Department of Treasury tax bill for the year 2001, stating I owe $26.09, including $16 in actual tax and the rest in interest. I have not worked since 2001. If I pay this, can they look back at years 1998, 1999, etc.? Additionally, in 2007, they kept my $180.00 tax refund for a bill they said was due on December 31, 2006, with a balance of $4,500. I have not heard from them since until now. I am willing to pay the $26.09 but worry they might send another bill for the $4,500 from 1996. If I go back to work, can they keep any tax refund checks due to me for this 1996 bill?
