I have back taxes to file. I want to negotiate to pay less than the amount owed. Should I send in all 3 returns then negotiate, or how would you recommend I proceed? I know there are programs to reduce the amount paid.

Why does "Property Tax Relief Fund" appear on the NJ state refund check for my 21-year-old son from March of last year, even though he does not own any property? The amount matches what we anticipated for his state refund.

My employer gave me a W2 and a week later gave me a 1099-misc for tips. They are refusing to fix it. What can I do besides reporting them to the IRS? Should I just file my taxes with the 1099 and let the IRS take care of it?

I am the trustee/executor of my deceased brother's Trust (Estate). I paid myself $11,217 for 3 years of administration. The Trust CPA for IRS taxes said I need to do a 1099 since it's over $600. I need to know which specific 1099 form to use and what to do with it. Does it go to the Trust CPA who files the Trust taxes with the IRS? Also, is the same document given to my personal CPA?

I am trying to check the status of my federal income tax refund. I filed my 2022 taxes with M&M tax preparers, but they left out a number in my banking account information. As a result, I don't know what's happening with my refund. My state refund was said to be issued on the sixth but hasn't reached my account. I haven't accessed my account online and haven't received any updates by mail or phone. What should I do to resolve this issue?
