I have been a 30% partner in an LLC business for the past 4 years, and my partner has been unresponsive. We have agreed to dissolve the business, but I have no access to the books and the business account. I want to know if I have the right to collect my 30% distribution from the business account without my partner's consent, and how I can legally separate myself from the business to avoid future involvement.

I was laid off from December 2007 through March 2008, got hurt in May 2008, and have been off work until next week. I received 3 months of disability through my own Aflac policy. My husband and I separated in April 2008 but are not divorced yet due to financial constraints. I am confused about taxes. Do I have to pay taxes on my disability? Can I file separately? I am confused.
