I made qualified charitable contributions (QCCs) in 2020 from two IRAs for $20,000 and $30,000. The 1099-R forms showed both as ordinary income (line 1) and taxable income (line 2a). Is this correct, even though the sums do not count as income since they were QCCs? Turbo Tax will not let me e-file if I don't fill in line 2a.

I am 21 years old, located in Texas, and believe I am a dependent. I earned around $8,000 from self-employment in 2020. I would like to know if I can receive the COVID recovery act stimulus and CARES act payments, and if I need to file my taxes. Additionally, I want to understand the requirements to file as independent and how to claim the stimulus payments. If my parents filed me as a dependent in 2020, is there a way to amend this process? What is the deadline to send my tax return to receive stimulus payments, and when should my parents submit the amendment? If I file as independent, will I owe more in taxes, and what income period does the tax return cover?

I have a question about pro-rated exclusions on capital gains on a home sale. We owned and lived in the home for 22 months. Our situation involves being forced to work from home permanently due to office closure, homeschooling our kids, and wanting to start emergency prep (food storage). Would these circumstances allow us to prorate capital gains exclusion?
