My daughter received a 1098T form from her college. It is a full ride scholarship including room and board. Do I as a parent claim the credit? I was told that possibly the student has to pay taxes on the room and board portion. She has not worked as of yet so has never filed taxes.

I purchased a property in Indiana and put it in an LLC under both me and my husband. The mortgage is under my name only. I am trying to short sale. If the bank looks at both of our incomes and does not qualify me for the short sale, and we go to foreclosure, will my husband's credit be affected, and can they hold him responsible in any way?
