Our organization, World-Wide Church Planters, Inc., received notice on 5/5/18 from Guidestar.org that our tax-exempt status might have been revoked. We have confirmed with the IRS that we were revoked on 5/15/12, but we never received any notification from the IRS. All our 990 and 990EZ forms have been filed, but the IRS has no record of them. What steps do we need to take to have our tax status reinstated, and can the IRS revoke without notice?

I am surrendering my house to the DOJ and planning to submit an Offer in Compromise (OIC) soon. I plan to buy another house during this time and have spoken to banks who have no issues with this. Do you see any problems with this plan, and should I inform the DOJ of my plans? If the OIC is not accepted and they take the equity from the house, what happens to the remaining balance due?

I owe back taxes and my bank account was levied by the IRS a couple of years ago. I am awaiting a commission check from my employer, which they said was cut but I have not received it. Has the IRS taken this check? My employer has said nothing about the IRS and I have received no notice from them. Additionally, how do I find out if the IRS took the check, and what are the limits for cashing a check at my employer's bank?

If I have a single member LLC that is taxed as a disregarded entity and is owned by a parent LLC, where would the income go on the business taxes when the parent LLC is a subchapter S election?

I submitted my court petition on May 14 but it was not sent by the UPS store until the 15th. My deadline was the 14th, and I have a receipt showing I mailed it on the 14th with return receipt and certified. The IRS attorney wants to file a motion to dismiss because I missed the deadline. Any chance of winning this?
