My sister's probate has gone over 3 years. The rental house is clearly willed to me. Do the 3-year rental monies come to me, with the house as of the time of her death minus tax and insurance paid out by me as the administrator?

I received a phone call stating I have an appointment today at 10:30 am with a social security representative. I never requested an appointment, and no location was given. I am currently 79 years old, retired, and receiving a pension from the federal government, but I did not have enough credits to get any payments from social security. Is this a scam, and what should I do?

My company merged with a larger company in 2019, and I had stock in my original company. E*Trade's 1099-B indicated a $60,000 gain, which the IRS later reduced to $40,000. I did not sell any stock; it was a simple merger. How can there be a taxable event when I did nothing, and my company was just bought out by a larger company?
