I have a tea/breakfast set comprising of a large plate with indent provided for tea pot, milk jug, cup, sugar bowl and toast rack. Each piece has JAMES KENT LTD; LONGTON; MADE IN ENGLAND; Golden Wattle 4014. Each piece is in good condition. I am 71 years old and this set belonged to my aunt. I was about to donate it to a fundraising group when I thought I might be able to get some advice on its value. Can you advise from the description I have given?

My builder has been refurbishing an apartment by channelling out walls for re-wiring. The lady in the adjacent apartment claims a decorative Limoges plate from around 1850 fell off her wall and broke into pieces. The builder denies causing the damage as he was not working on her wall. I have taken photos of the broken plate and received a quote of £200 to mend it. I cannot find a replacement for the plate, which is a Limoges decorative plate pompodour shoe in mustard color. The lady also has a matching plate in blue. The builder suspects she might be exaggerating the situation. What is the actual value of the plate, and what should I do next?
