I have a unique piece from the Louvre in Paris, France. I have a log hewn by 'Jeremiah Johnson' from a trading store he helped to build in Columbus, Montana. It is about 12 feet in length, hand-hewn, and was removed from the original building during a remodel. The log was given as a gift to my husband, who has since passed away. The log has axe marks, is grayed in color, and I believe it is made of Cottonwood. Is there anything else the Antiques Appraiser should be aware of?

I have an antique A. W. W. Co. Waltham Mass pocket watch, 17 jewels, made in 1917 according to the serial number. It has an open face case made by Wadsworth pilot, guaranteed 25 years, which should indicate it's gold or gold filled. What is its worth, and how can I find out?
