I have a Whirlpool microwave that's 5 years old. Today I noticed 2 small chips about an inch each in the interior part of the oven under the glass tray. It seems to flake away when wiped. I don't know what caused this and want to know 1) if there's danger involved 2) can it be repaired 3) is it irreparable?

I have a GE top-loading washer that is 3 years old. The lid lock will not come on, and it will not spin. I have replaced the lid lock, striker, and control board. The washer fills with water and drains only. What could be causing this issue, and how can I fix it?
