Following Hurricane Issac, all of the appliances in my home will no longer turn on: Washer, Dryer, Microwave, Stove, Dishwasher, Disposal, and Satellite Dish Receiver. I found 2/3rds of breakers 'blown', turned them back on, and tested all outlets which seem to work fine, but none of the appliances turn on. I replaced the microwave's fuse but it still won't turn on. Can not find a fuse in the stove. Does this mean the computer chips / controller boards in all these appliances are likely blown? And since replacing all these parts are so expensive, should I even bother trying to get them repaired or just buy new appliances?

My GE Profile refrigerator (Model # XXXXX) has stopped cooling. This has happened occasionally over the past couple years but always came back. I unplugged the fridge for 15 minutes and then replugged. Now all I hear is a relay clicking that sounds like it is from the main control board. The compressor doesn't sound like it is coming on. What could be the issue and what steps can I take to fix it?

My GE Profile washer will not fill with water but agitates when I start the cycle, and all the lights keep going on and off while making a clicking sound. It's a new machine I bought in 2006 but never used it until two months ago. It only worked once before the problem started. What could be the issue and how can I diagnose it?

I have a Centennial Maytag Dryer that stopped working. The heating element works when plugged in, but the tumbler is not running, and the dryer gets very hot. I suspect it might be the thermostat or the thermal fuse. What could be the issue, and how can I fix it?

Ice cubes are now kicking out crushed ice and the machine is not on crushed -- it is on cubes. What do I do to get cubes to come out?

I have a Kenmore top load washing machine, about 12 years old, Model 110 20922990 Type 111. When starting the cycle, water fills the machine and leaks directly onto the floor. I suspect the leak might be coming from under the tub. What could be causing this leak and what should I do?
